I was changing trains on my way to work the other day when I noticed that most of the crowd was literally trudging along, heads down, shoulders bowed, not moving very quickly. It was uncanny how many people had the same body language in that subway passage.
I started wondering about what could possibly be weighing so heavily on so many people. Maybe it was due to the dreary weather. Maybe it was due to trying to stay anonymous in the large crowd. I was waiting for the scene to turn into one of those movie moments where the hero starts rallying the broken spirits around him/her to have hope or realize that collectively they have the power to change things.
Before I knew it, I was at my stop. Time to start work. Feeling a little Brazil-ish.
